Older Ela's is no problem, in fact the older the better as long as they function as they should, one of the best value used speakers out there IMO

Magnepan  speakers are really good if you have space and amp for them, honestly I think your current ones will be bottleneck

Maggie speakers simply love Naim electronics...they have similar strengths and abilities to nail the rhythm, but are also endowed by several nice round earth qualities. Given their large size and (relatively) low cost, there were some cost-cutting methods that turned exceptional speakers into merely very good ones. The crossover parts are cack and the sprung leaf stands are the antithesis of rigidity. Aftermarket ones do a far better job.

I have heard Maggies driven by both solid state and valves, and they rise to the occasions. I have also heard how them improve when internally rewired, with upgraded passive crossovers, and run fully active.

The problem is finding a dealer that carries both Naim and Maggies. Hint-you won't.

I think the Spanish distributor of Naim also carried Maggies, and his personal reference system was 500 electronics into Maggies 20.

Found one  My dealer in Warsaw, Poland.

Looked at them, but they would never pass the Commitee in our house.

I've owned Maggies are can confirm that they are great speakers and offer excellent VFM (at least here in North America). The problem is that they need a fair amount of power to really sing. A fair amount of Naim power is an expensive proposition which makes the Maggie/Naim combination less interesting for those on a budget. The other downside to Maggies is that they need quite a bit of breathing room to sound their best.

For your indicated usage B-lund has given you the correct answer. Magnepans are a lovely speaker but not a good match with your amp.

KJ West One in central London do both (and Martin Logans).

Even here in lowly Seattle we have a dealer that carries both Naim and Magnepan. Problem being they carry more Magnepan speaker options than appropriate Naim gear (essentially Qb, Muso, maybe a remnant Uniti).

And there is a dealership close to the east coast  in Suffolk that does as well.
