Tellerium Black any good?

Hi All, I was just looking at Tellerium Black speaker cable and it's a good price. Would anyone like to offer advice about this vs NACA5?

Then again, it pretty much leads you full circle back to NACA5, so might just as well spare yourself the time

Thanks Joe, I am close to getting my 250.2 DR'ed so that will leave only a possible upgrade of the NACA5 as a final tweak for awhile. I will audition the TQB soon to see if it's worth it. Having horn speakers it will be interesting to see what the outcome will be.

Anyone know what the minimum length for TQB would be? Is it 3.5m, as for NACA 5?

I've got 3m runs with no issues.

<Warning: sarcasm>

For the ultimate system performance, all you need is TQ black and a Hugo, nothing else need be considered.

and a Sonore microRendu!

I'm feeling pretty smug because I have all three (well the TQ ultra black will do, I guess).

I have just replaced my Nac a5 with some used TQ Black and it definitely has more detail than the Nac a5 so far ,Im now debating terminating the TQ at the amp end with Naim plugs has anyone  already tried his?

Bob The Builder, as far as I understand the TQ cables are factory terminated. My dealer said it was quite difficult to reterminate and recommended leaving it as is rather than adding Naim plugs.

Others may know different.....

Mine was factory terminated.  I'm sure I will be corrected but I can't imagine changing it would make a huge difference

As far as I'm aware the plugs cannot be changed due to the tellurium coating of the cables. My dealer explained that it takes considerable effort to fit the TQ ones. It's not something I would attempt.

Thank you for all your help they are sounding so good anyway, just one consideration if your system or your speakers are all ready a bit light in the lower regions the TQ won't help with that, my system was quite bass heavy so it is fine at the moment what they have added though is lots of detail.  As with all things HiFi there is a price to pay for all that fine detail and that is a slight loss of bass weight the bass is there and again it is detailed but a little less heavy which for me could be the one thing that sent me back to my Nac a5 but for now I'm really enjoying the extra detail perhaps I will stick with the TQ and buy a better sub!

Let the cables burn in and they should balance out nicely. I've found that TQ cable sound very forward initially and as they settle down they sound fantastic. My Revel speakers are well balanced and I find the bass with the TQ black fantastic. Let us know how they sound in a few weeks time!

Spot on...they do indeed balance out over time, mine are certainly not bass light.

I've owned both NACA5 and TQB, and TQB wins hands down IMHO.  Plus you can bend it.

I like this response. So with the TQB you can bend it like Beckham. I surely do not appreciate the stiffness of the NACA5 but since it sounds fine in my system, I do not have the urge to replace it with something else, at the moment.

Just a follow up I have added a powerline to my 200, swapped my TC + for recently serviced CB Hicap and Napsc and also added the TQ Blacks all within the last month after my last post I added the power line to my 200 it had been on my streamer and wether it was that the TQ settling down or a combination of both but the bass is big again but tighter than before all in all very happy with the smaller changes I have made.  Although I would love try a 282 at some point and possibly a DR'd HiCap I feel the Nap 200 is a cracking amp that can take most upgrades in its stride.
