Would it be possible to have too many sausages on the plate?

I think it odd that no one (else) has asked this.

You are mashing your tenses Adam.

'If the forum were a plate...' or (if was) '...would it have been possible to have too many sausages on the plate.'

Also, one man's 'too many' is another man's 'not enough...or just right'.

If Ifs and Ands were pots and pans,
’Twould cure the tinker's cares:
if ladies did not carry fans,
They’d give themselves no airs:
If down the starry skies should fall,
The starlings would be cheap:
If Belles talk'd reason at a ball,
The band might go to sleep.

He wasn't, actually.

If posts (plural) were - past simple plural, and the forum (singular) was - past simple singular.

He could have used the subjunctive ('were' in both cases) - but that would have been a change of mood, not tense.

Just get a bigger plate.

Analogous to too many post on the forum - just get a bigger server!

Then get them to work in a restaurant and serve out the sausages on smaller plates!

Problem solved.

When do they count as consumed? When read, when threads are locked, never? Though some undoubtedly start out as andouillette they don't all befall the fate of sausages once eaten.
