Sbl tweeter pushed in easy free repair

Posted by: Jamesie on 27 September 2016

Just a little tip if any of you have a "pushed in tweeter" on your SBLs , mine were both pushed in but fully working ,(like it when I got them) after toying with the idea of the Hoover , or a pin , none of which I wanted to really do , I leaned down over the speaker , put my mouth over the tweeter and gently sucked , and plop! The diaphragm popped out straight away , I did the same with the other one and it did the same , they both had little dimples left in them at the edges , but over the last couple of days these dimples have disappeared , the diaphragms look perfect again now , mine are mk2 , this is a very simple free fix to what can look like a devastating problem . It took me no more than 10 seconds

And 2 days to explain what I had been doing to my partner.

Yeah , forgot to say , you may be better off trying this when the house is empty , and you have some "alone" time .

trying to convince the wife that there were no tongues may take some doing ,if she already thinks you love your speakers more than her.

Ita a good job the SBLs are not ported as the end result of this love could have ended differently
