What's with this obsession where it's made? It sounds distinctly suspect.

I have it on good authority they're to be made at Naim's secret luxury island fortress in the Caribbean.

Smart move Naim, they look the business and no doubt will sound it too. Well done!

My opinion: I want to have the people around me, not having an university degree, to have a job too.

True socialism, without government payed unemployment money.

Says Designed & Made In England on the back.

There are some really interesting developments here - new software, better buffering, google cast so it can use Qobuz etc, over the air updates, ever a Powerline Lite that will be rolled out to all products next year. It certainly seems to address many of the issues that affect current streaming products. And a new app to, which includes the functionality of nServe.

Quite nice actually. I hope the front is glass and not plastic. Else it will be a scratch magnet.

Agreed, and let those in St. Etienne eat cake!

Well okay - the proof of the pudding etc.......but this type of design/innovation from a former cottage industry company in a small factory in Salisbury.  It's fantastic - well done Naim.

Lindsay

Only for Core - not for HDX / UnitiServe.

I think they look lovely, and they all least appear to be considerably more up to date than the current line with its (fine, but somewhat archaic looking) OLED screens, lower max bitrates etc.  I suspect the apps will be receiving a significant overhaul soon, too, especially the Android variant, to make sure it's more robust, given the new google music stuff.  Will be interesting to hear how they perform.

I also feel more sure that they herald a new case design for all products - it'd be a bit daft to have models higher up the range looking less modern than the Uniti line.

Fred, don't tell me you've never had the handle break on a wind up
gramophone?

I think they look fab too, and a clear direction for Naim's new house style.

Apart from the Uniti Star that is - a somewhat incongruous jumble compared to the other three sublime components.

So,

Core = UnitiServce

Atom = UnitiQute

Nova = Uniti 2 ?

Star = HDX ?

Good effort. Well done Naim!

That's a bit disappointing really looks like Naim are going fully mainstream with this new Uniti Line and becoming a 'Designer' Brand which from a business view point is understanable and necessary even but even so after all that what about using some of the money generated to fund the design a new analogue first pre amp, a phono pre amp a new Aro even. It seems that these last few new ranges from Naim are aimed at the uber cool city dwelling young professionals to show off at Dinner parties or over drink's, is the ethos still music first or are compromises being made for the sake of style.  Perhaps at 46 I am already as my trouble and strife would say going all Victor Meldrew, perhaps those of us who sometimes prefer to listen to the music we love so much alone and with our eyes closed drink in hand and with a smile on are faces are in the very small minority, perhaps Naim Audio could throw that small minority, their existing very faithful customers a tit bit..............Hold on a minute on the other hand this all could mean cheaper used SuperUnities, Unity 2's and 272's coming onto the market. Now where did I put that dealers number?
