Any bets ???  New streamer/pre-amp,    new all in one +++

Joke apart, I'm not sure I need Naim to "reimagine" my music collection, especially with a new piece of hardware - which we can only speculate on. As for the "infinite possibilities", well... sorry, it's easy to be cynical.

Yes please, I can't find it anywhere

No thank you.  Please see my post above...

I guess it's a new UnitiServe or HDX, for two reasons: a) the old Serve/HDX were based on Windows XP AFAIK and XP is long out of support now and b) the the announcement specifically mentions "music collection", which is what Serve/HDX do.

Sorry Richard, What Hifi stated that they came from a factory tour so I assumed that they had been authorised.

One of the last leaked Stefan - Naim have really gone back to basics with the DAC stage in the new Statement DAC...

I'm betting on a Statement level streamer with maybe some extra features.

eg...it can make either a latte or flat white, quietly whilst listening

It's called Lorenz but it's still an enigma. (reference earlier picture).

Edward Lorenz - Chaos theory, thermal conduction model?

It must get quite warm .

I am very excited.

It could be the statement level streamer or CD player; or some kind of reference streamer/preamp?

Can't wait!

It's the addition of the coffee maker I think, that's causing all the excitement

I can't spot a CD drive in the official naim teaser (and I can't spot a HDD/SDD either, but I trust those who spotted SATA in that mysterious internals picture). If the new device is replacing the u-serve, then perhaps naim lets us connect an external CD-drive for ripping?

Because it's not got integrated speakers it wouldn't make sense to call it a Muso anything.

It must be clever redirection from Naim, that the email I got from them sends me to the 'Naim Sound in Any Room' page, with heavy images and references to the Muso line of products.

I think it is a Uniti named after an old Vauxhall 1.4 SR I used to own.

A replacement for the NS01/HDX with a CD555 style ripper and expandable/upgradable SSD storage, optional PS555 dual Burndy upgrade and blue ray video capability in addition to all historical music and music video cd style formats (so you don't need to have an Oppo player in your system as well).

Have been advised to sell off any NS01/HDX boxes I have as this is the replacement ( I would assume this includes the Unitserve as well).

Guess we will know for sure on Thursday.

My best guess would be something like a SuperUniti 2

You joke...My wife had her friends round in our conservatory & one of them pointed to the Muso and asked if the round thing on the top was to put her coffee cup on to keep it warm. And she wasn't joking!

In future I think your wife's friends need to possibly have their coffee on deck chairs in the garage

It's a Naim NAS box to back up the unitiserve.  With its upgradable power supply.  The big wheel at the top will light up red if it senses any threat to files.

Posted on: 03 October 2016 by Stefan Vogt

Cool, Toby. And the internal transformer is bedded in liquid helium to reduce trafo hum.

More seriously, it's odd that the USB connector is on the right side, when the related electronics is on the left. I infer that what we see is not two splittable boxes but just one. Given that many of us will not need the power amp section (on the right), I speculate that the teaser only shows the all-in-one, and that the server/streamer/dac in the left half will be available separately in uniti-serve format, and indeed perhaps only with external PSU.
