Any bets ??? New streamer/pre-amp, new all in one +++
"Your music collection reimagined"? If I remember things right, Roon was launched with nearly the same slogan. So maybe we are about to see a new user interface (as well).
To Richard Dane and all the Aro2 supporters: the Aro2 has to be a dual pivot tonearm, right?![]()
Naim streaming must mean REimagination, access to millions of songs
China made Class D amp
Just ad forthcoming Muso,Focal speakers (also china based) and your tablet
Hmm.. I haven't a clue

Isn't that the UnitiQute? ![]()
Keep going guys 1,000 replies by 11:00 Thursday?
HQ Salisbury must be loving this!
that can rip your analogue source..?
Not sure how they're going to reimagine my 2.5k record collection. It's not imaginary, so doesn't need imagining again.![]()
Virtual LPs? Now there's an idea: would take up a lot less room. Perchance it is a a very big juke box? After all there's no attempt to give it a sense of scale. Or an LP ripper?![]()
Frenchnaim posted:nigelb posted:I am sure the Classic line will be replaced at some time in the future, but with the DR upgraded power supplies/power amps and the (relatively recent) launch of the 272 all in Classic clothing, surely now is not the time. This new thing (or things) has the new house style of MuSo and Statement and I am guessing it is an extension/addition to one of these lines.
It would hack too many people off if the Classic clothing were changed so soon after many of us have either upgraded to DR or have purchased a 272.
Mind you I have been wrong many, many times before!
The Nait XS had a new fascia less than a year after it was introduced (so called XS-2, not to be confused with XS2...), so I wouldn't be at all surprised if a new Classic range (different looks) were to be introduced soon.
Hopefully this time they'll include decent headphone outputs.
I spoke to Naim last year regarding n-Stream, and why the green color and buttons where gone.... -"new company color is white instead of green, wich will also be seen on future products..." goodbye green logo.
On a Statement NAC/NAP demo earlier this year, a Statement streamer where talk of the day - and we where sold it was on the drawing board...
Intersting times indeed..:-)
Dear Forum members,
For the 'past three years our R&D department' have been working on something very special... and it's almost ready. This Thursday at 11am we will be unveiling our most advanced development yet and one that offers infinite possibilities.
Will there be a service option soon to have white logos fitted_

Can you have infinite possibilities? Discuss.

That sounds dangerous what if it might create a black hole?
I don't see any sign here of an aesthetic redesign of the classic product range. Such a radical redesign would be a very high-risk strategy . . . it would be hard to do the whole range at once, yet sales of old-design products would be crushed in the meantime. And in any case, the Mu-So design is aimed at lifestyle users, rather than audiophiles, who want something rack-friendly and relatively discreet. Oddly, but truthfully, even the Statement is really a lifestyle product, just aimed at the super-rich market.
From the brief and cryptic video, this is a product aimed at the lifestyle market. So it's not replacing any of the classic range. It doesn't appear to have speakers, so it's either a very high-end Statement streamer or an extension of the Mu-So range.
My guess would be it's part of a Mu-So 'system' for multi-room and cinema for the John Lewis market - an upmarket Sonos competitor. That's about the only growth sector in hi fi at the moment, and the Mu-So is already a nudge in that direction.
I feel pretty certain that this is a Muso range expansion. I am guessing it will have similar functionality, upgraded components and performance, and you add the speakers of your choice. It will have a million watts power output on some spec sheet to reel in the Apple store and John Lewis shoppers....or maybe a bit beyond.
This could be a shrewd move. In terms of price point, my bet is that this is more aimed at gaining some of the Band & Awful market rather than typical Sonos terriotry, and to be honest, if looks any good in the flesh, and sounds even half as good as Naim's classic range, shouldn't be much of challenge.
Four things, remember. So there is no reason we don't have a Statement streamer, a 372 and a new mu-so stylee SuperUniti replacement. All things to all people.
More time pass closer we, isnt it SUPER?

I was thinking along the same lines. R & D must be a having a right laugh, and at the same time maybe going "ooo now thats a good idea"!!
Maybe Doug could chime in!!!!!
Maybe a ripping thingy, Statement Streaming doobrey, music storing...eh...Pepsi!! Yup, think I've covered all the bases!!!
Keep up the good work Forum peeps, great read!
572 I'm sure.

My bet is aligned with the folks who think this is the beginning of the expected roadmap step to update the preamps with new look and operating controls based on muso and statement. Some tricle down from statement to improve sq as well. Naim has done this traditionally...start with the top and bottom of the line and then update the middle. Here we go!

My record collection was lost to the trash bins in 1992. If this thing will help me reimagine it, I am *IN*.
