Does anyone know if you can buy a naim mug anywhere

There is a NAIM coaster for sale on the usual auction site at the moment. The spelling and colour is right but somehow it doesn't strike me as Salisbury sourced.

I trust you have done a double blind comparative tasting on these mugs? Please post the results.

Love the Naim mug!

Mugs, if you please! The one on the right is the Statement mug, as near as I'll ever get to one.

Naim Mugs!  Plural. Gotcha!

I hope those fortunate few in possession of a Naim mug remember to heat the water using a Naim PL connected to the kettle.

It sounds like a fun place though....

The flatfish might like that it should only be supplied with Vodka.

There are numerous websites where you can order customizable coffee mugs - design your own color and font, import an image - I suspect that's what Naim do.

Sip better tasting coffee, impress yourself and maybe your friends, or auction them online to finance your next upgrade.

I always try to get that exact design (the one on the right) of mug when I go to make a coffee rather than one of the other designs. (There are several other designs of current Naim mugs including Mu-so volume control, NAP500 rear panel and swing-out CD drawer...) For me the Statement bus bar just makes the contents taste better.

(Does that make me odd? )

Until Naim produce an espresso cup there is no way I would ever use a Naim mug, except perhaps to clean paint brushes. Coffee isn't coffee unless it is an espresso, its just coloured water.

Personally myself I wouldn't give you a bean for a coffee expresso or
otherwise.

The use of a Powerline on the kettle is of course a massive upgrade when making tea.

Noooo......not at all!

Now you have shown me the Statement mug, my humble MuSo mug seems somehow broken. Coffee doesn't seem to taste quite as good. Gotta get me one of those funky Statement mugs....I don't care about the cost.

I like the the idea of a mu-so mug, I'm feeling left out.

No worries, nothing to pay, the mugs are free with a Statement system.

Serious question folks... what does a genuine  Naim mug bring to the taste of a beverage?

And is the effect more pronounced with tea or coffee?

If you're not the owner of a genuine Naim mug, please don't speculate in response... I'm interested to discover the genuine effect of the pukka product, so if you have a Chord Hugo mug (or any other look alike), please refrain from responding.

I prefer a cup and saucer for the best sound. Saucer first and all that.

I think it is a little more complicated than that. We now have different 'levels' of Naim mug ranging from a humble MuSo mug up to a Statement mug. I have a MuSo mug and I used to think tea AND coffee tasted pretty good in it. But now I know there is a Statement mug, I have just got to have one as I suspect any beverage would taste fantastic in that.

Damn you Naim…damn you!

I'm not the owner of a Naim mug, although I may seek to upgrade later, but I do want to ask whether genuine Naim mugs need to burn in like other Naim products. So is tea better after the 20th cup for example?  And is there a Fraim mug coaster that maximises the performance of the mug? I also haven't heard anything about the very pricy and odd looking French teaspoons that are supposed to be voiced for these mugs in particular, producing that special evocative tinkling noise as you stir the tea.

I was trying to be serious as rjstains asked us to be. But it is now getting plain silly.

Possibly time for the moderator to move this thread to the Padded Cell?

Melco, I mean Kenco coffee doesn't taste as good.
