Are you sure 'everything is ok'?

Rules for album covers to be displayed in a Naim app are:

* File format: JPG . True JPG not converted

* File name: folder.jpg

* File location: the same folder as music files for the album

Do you mean that you don't see album art when you play an album, or that the folders containing the albums don't show an album cover? If it's the latter, and you are using Synology media server, I think that is normal, though I may be wrong.

In addition to HH post above,  when using Synology's Media Server,  if you use "Folder View" thats what you get,   you get a view of a folder & you don't see the album art unto you open the album.  If you use Album, Artist Views & other such combo's,  then you get the art.

Or are you saying you don't see the art when you open the album & play ???

Mike, am I right that the higher folders don't show art in media server? So if I have 10 albums by an artist, the artist folder will not show a sample album? I know that Minim and Asset show a sample, but if I recall correctly, Synology media server doesn't.

Nigel - that seems to be the case when using Minimiserver or UnitiServe. Once you go down to an album level, only then each one is presented with a cover.

Hi Nigel,  Media Server does show browsing art,  but not in all the views (lemme go look)  By All Music & By Album goes straight to the art  ..........  By Artist & by the artist/plus whatever combo's it drills down to an alphabetical list of names,  then open up an artist & it shows all the album art by that artist,    same By Composer  .........  a few other combo's,

I invariably use Folder View as I know my collection inside out,  I sometimes have an ide browse to stimulate some visual prompts to listen to something  ........  on Brass Band Favourites right now

Good, thanks. We now need to know where the OP is not seeing the album covers, in the folders, or when playing the music.

I think I know what happened... Are your files in WAV format, ripped on a computer with say iTunes or perhaps from a UnitiServe rips?

What you describe may indicate incorrectly assigned / missing  metadata.

Have you ever seen cover art displayed 'properly'?

When you play a file do you see a blank image or do you see the Naim disc logo as an image?

Are your music files correctly tagged with cover art or are the cover art images just in the folders?

I'm suspecting that your tracks themselves aren't correctly tagged with cover art and the UPnP server is showing the cover art image in teh folder when viewing by folder but that when it tries to pull teh cover art from the files they're perhaps tagged with a null cover art image...
