Nac N-272 to Nap 300 interconnect

Posted by: gmischol on 07 October 2016

Today I will pick up my NAP 300 to partner my NAC N-272. I'm just not sure for the interconnection. I guess the two analoge outputs on the NAC got to the NAP, but which is left and right?

It's in the connections guide page 23.

Here's a link to it.

Looking from the back 4pin DIN cable Green (CH1) left analogue output on 272 to XLR (CH!) left analogue input on NAP300.

Red (CH2) right analogue output 272 to (CH2) right input on NAP300

Both DIN outputs on the NAC-N272 are wired with both left and right channels...

Both the 4 pin DIN analogue outputs on the 272 are the same, both have R+L.

P.S. Edit:   Phil, sorry for duplicating, your post wasn't showing when I wrote mine!

Just get the DIN-XLR leads the right way round.  CH1 = Left.  CH2 = Right.  Red band = Right

So I deduce then that the L and R leads only carry their respective channel to the amp, leaving the unwanted channel behind (for want of a better expression). ?

That is correct, the "left" lead only has the feed for the left hand channel connected (leave the right hand channel with no additional loading) and vice versa.

And they are available in the SuperLumina range. Aren't they?  :malin1:
