New Streaming Products

Just seen the new streaming products from Naim - they all look like a step up from the current range... 

* On the positive side, they seem to deliver more power.

* The look of the systems can be viewed as more model - although I didnt think the existing streamers looked 'old'

* Addition of the colour screen capable of displaying album art is a good step forward (although it is catch up with a lot of the alternatives already in the market)

Aspect I would question are - control that is placed on the top on the unit - will forces these units to on top of a rack/table relatively low down - in conflict with the screen which is on the front of the units - Although I accept that you could manage the units with the remote control/tablet

I hope that Naim does not extend this 'control on top' format to the Naim Classic range over time - although I think a smaller version of the Statement control on the front of any new units will look fantastic....
