Naim App Issue

Posted by: al9315 on 12 October 2016

Been working fine until yesterday/today ?!

Decided to play a selection of tracks from different albums :-

Selected track - clicked title - ALL tracks added

Cleared ALL - then : Selected track and clicked on three dots on right of screen - all tracks added

Cleared ALL - then : Selected track and clicked on three dots on right of screen - drop down list appeared - selected "play this track" - all well

Went to different album (1st selection still playing) - clicked on selected track (three dots) - started playing new selection

Do not understand what is happening - it has been fine for at least a week or so ?!

HELP - Thanks

Al

No problem here (Android), could you have missed the dots with the finger and hit the track instead?

Thanks "Huge"

I am almost sure I used to just touch the track and the drop down appeared (perhaps not ?)

I have re-tried:

It seems ultra sensitive to where one touches the screen - if I touch a fraction below the three dots then it adds all tracks

Being very careful and touch spot on the three dots - all seems to be well

Going back to listen now

thanks very much

Al

I've noticed some strange thing happening too in the last few days using my iPad to Muso.  It will freeze or hang for ages sometimes reboot the app.  music continues to play ok.  I will test with Android tonight.

By the way, anyone know how to clear the QUEUE list?

When you are looking at the playlist - touch "three dots" at top right of screen - dropdown will offer "Clear Queue"

I think I am still having a problem - will re-test today sometime

The music continues to play as the queue of tracks to be played is downloaded to the streamer.  The app sets the queue up, then just sends navigation commands like start / stop / pause etc..  After 'Start' the streamer will just continue to play its queue unless told to do something else or it reached the end of the queue.

Maybe you need to turn on 'tap for options' under 'other settings' in the app. If this isn't set, tapping a track will add them all, I believe.

If you don't have 'Tap for Options' set, tapping a track is 'Play from This Track'.

Thanks guys! I thought I tried everything but I may have missed this, I'll give it a try and let you know if it works.

Talking of the app - this is on Android - where's the 'balance' control gone from the settings?  I can see it on the IOS version.

It disappeared a version or two ago.  I mentioned it to Naim at the time and they said they'd pass it on to the software people.  Last update didn't bring it back, though perhaps all the attention has been on the next update, so perhaps it will reappear in a few weeks' time when the new models are shipped.

Thank you HH - I know that the "Tap for...." was set to "on" - somehow it has lost the setting ?!?!?!

Now all is as before

Thanks again
