Ruark epilogue

Picked up a nice pair of these bloody hell there good for the price a absolute bargain a kan beater ?
Ruarks were good. I had a soft spot for them and still have a pain in the loft.
Beggars belief they stopped making speakers top draw if you ask me
Nice little things, aren't they Martin. Our pair seems happiest when sitting on those very heavy Target R1 stands that they used to make in the 1990s.
The Tivoli profit margins were just too high.
I was at the factory about 10 years ago having my Mk1 Talismans converted to Mk2 and a cabinet refurb (all done the same day). They loved music, they loved developing their products and they had high hopes for a new technology in development.
I think when that failed to take off they decided to stop losing money and started just piling it up. The Man died shortly after and unlike JV at Naim, most of the heritage, drive and direction died with him.
Sad my friend ,for want for description the seem to be great speakers that seem to communicate the performance
I used to have a pair of Ruark Equinox speakers - tremendous bass from stand mounts. They came with integral stands and an 'umbilical cord' to connect the stands (which contained the crossovers) to the speaker cabinets reminiscent of Naim burndys. Superb build quality and a real shame that Ruark abandoned this part of their heritage.
Yes i think naim are slowly going same way
I had some Talisman III's. They were great speakers. In fact I kind of wish I'd kept them now.
This was the model which rolled out their patented technology. Tweeters IIRC. They got good reviews but poor sales. I had chopped my Mk2 in for Spendors at that point and was not in the market. Otherwise I would have beaten a path to a stockist.
I had the little Epilogue with a Cyrus pre/power in the early 90's. Lovely speaker - even in a large room.
