Album art

Dear all!

Including album art has until recently worked perfectly. I Use dBpoweramp to rip my CDs (FLAC with meatadata and album cover) and store them on my NAS wich is connected to my Unity. Some 50% appear without album cover on my Naim-app  (iPhone6). Does anyone have a clue?

Sincerely,

Thomas

What server? Have you tried putting the album art in the album directory as folder.jpg and checking that the tag in each file points to it? I'm not 100% sure it is necessary with FLACs but it's a quick check and it will reduce file sizes, which I assume is the reason for FLACKing? In situations like this it's usually a tag or lack of one that's the root of the issue.

There are 2 ways to "do" album art.  (1) have the art in the same folder as the music files, named folder.jpg and be ideally not more than about 1200 x 1200.  (2) Use a tagging editor, like dbPoweramp, to embed the art in the .flac files.

With Naim, definitely do (1).  You can do (2) too but do do (1).

Now for a musical interlude . . . "Da doo doo doo, da dah dah dah . . . "

Thomas, I use dbpoweramp and a Synology NAS running Media Server. Often the album art for CDs I've just ripped doesn't show on my iphone. So now I re-index (via the synology control panel) after each new CD rip. Once I've cleared the upnp and picture cache via the Naim app, all the new art shows up fine. This may work for you...

As Nick suggests, clearing the image cache and upnp cache should fix this.
