Album art again

Posted by: Osteoclast on 21 October 2016

Hello,

I still cannot get my album art working in the app. Ripped a Cold Play album...did not work. Can see the image jpg after the track list. Tried to empty image cache in the app. Still dead. Anyone out there with a distinct suggestion?

Since

Sincerely, Thomas

Once the files are located in NAS you mamy try to reindex them.

Sorry but I haven't been following your travails. Can you remind us how you are ripping, what you are storing the rips on, what app you are running and on what device?

A suggestion in the dark as it were, but for Naim apps, the artwork needs to be called folder.jpg or cover.jpg   I don't think image.jpg will work....

best

Most likely metadata issue on the tracks.

If you could program the app not to play Coldplay's execrable music you might be onto something marketable..... more seriously, you need to explain very clearly what exactly you are, or aren't, doing. If the files are FLAC and have embedded cover art, or if a jpeg called folder.jpeg is include in the album folder, the art will show, so long as your upnp server is set up correctly.

Supmario's solution is the one I also recommended. Which NAS drive do you have? If Synology then go to the control panel and find the re-indexing feature.

If a re-index doesn't work - & assuming you've cleared both app caches - then its something in the metadata & this means you have not set up whatever ripping program you're using correctly.
