DBLs and where to put them?

Well; on the end of the speaker cables will be my starting point.

These will be running active and the reason I ask is that I found with briks by moving them 6-7 inches from the wall cleaned up the mid but lost the bass, however I was able to retrieve the bass from the snaxo.

These do look big and heavy, I think the novelty of moving them round and round the living room will soon wear off.

against the rear wall but not touching. Away from side walls.

Wot Jon says. Not having the crossovers (typed drossovers at first, by mistake. Ahem...) on the back means you can get them really close to the back wall & they work best that way.

You have to try out the best position. Like almost all speakers, they are very sensitive to placement. The last millimeters often gives the best improvementI had mine 84 mm from the back wall when driven active. Passive was 95 mm.

A trick that can be used is to put the speakers on some form of slide. A tea tray works well for something SBL size, obviously a bit bigger for Dibbles. Advantage is you only have to lift the speakers twice. Not sure if this would work on wooden floors, with out damage, maybe a mat under the sliding agent?
