UFO in concert

I had the pleasure of watching UFO in concert in Middlesbrough last night. Not a band I have watched before but one I'll watch again if I get the chance because they were superb. WIth a lead singer who is all of 68 they are seasoned professionals but they totally rocked, didn't put a foot wrong all night and had one of the best lead guitarists I've ever seen. Well recommended. Worth pointing out too that the sound in the Empire there was superb.

I remember buying 'Force It' purely based on the album cover.

I saw them at the Marquee about 1978 and they had this German guitar player called Michael Schecknet who was lightning quick on his Flying V.

I saw them at Newcastle City Hall in the early 80s - my first rock gig and I was blown away. It was not too long after Schenker had bee fired / left.

Middlesbrough seems a long way for you to travel, David
