just collected our newly repaired uniti serve from Analogue Seduction in Whittlsey....Ten out of ten to the guys at Naim..they have repaired the unit AND managed to recover all the music ! Result !
no details of the actual repair..so how do I know what size the hard drive is now ?..it was 1tb originally ,also the front panel now sports a pinhole below the cd slot..is this to eject cd's ?..in an emergency ? if so what do I use ? A paper clip ?
Have to say I was dreading re- ripping all our music , all good now though !

Yes, the tiny hole is to eject troublesome CDs after ripping and you are supposed to use a straightened paper clip. I had to do this the other day and the paper clip inserted into hole method of ejection failed to work. The paper clip did hit what felt like an eject button inside but when it failed to eject, I tried again and this time it felt like the paper clip slid down the side of the eject button.
I then resorted to shutting down the UnitiServe (remember to do this in the correct way) and turning on again when the pesky CD was finally ejected.
Phew!

Good news Steve W!
Yep, straightened paper clip will work a treat.
I have a feeling you now have a 2TB hard drive. When my original 1TB failed last year it came back with the 2TB version as the 1TB drive was no longer available.
You can check this in your Desktop Client (DTC) on your PC/MAC or if you type your US IP address into your browser, I think you find it under Settings. And I think you will find you have had an upgrade in drive size :-)
