n-Serve manual
Posted by: Richard Morris on 11 November 2016
From the UnitiServe manual
'The Desktop Client is covered in a separate manual that can be downloaded from the Naim Audio web site at www.naimaudio.com.'
I can't find this. Can anyone help? Running n-Serve on a Mac.
Hi Richard, it does seem to be a bit hidden, it took me a few minutes to track it down!
If you go to the Manuals & Downloads section in this link you will find n-serve for Mac :-
https://www.naimaudio.com/product/unitiserve
Hope this helps.
Chris
Thanks Chris.
wow - didn't realise there was a manual for the desktop client - I've just been poking about and seeing what happened !
must take a look ...
Just had a look - I can't see an n-Serve manual…
Ahh, sorry Richard thought you were looking for the application itself. Im afraid there isnt an n-Serve manual as far as I know.
I use DTC Windows version in conjunction with the n-Serve iOS app, and between the two pretty much everytthing can be managed. I dont have experience with n-Serve for Mac, but as I understand it this is a much slicker and all encompassing version compared to the Windows version.
Is there something in particular you were looking to do? Or were you just wanting to understand a bit more about the functional possibilities?
I use the app and just wondered if I was missing anything.
Incidentally, I wouldn't regard it as 'slick', especially for a Mac version. Not very intuitive, with functions not where you'd expect to find them - for example 'refresh cache' under preferences and much use of technical language.
The "desktop client" is a Windows programme only and the manual is at https://www.naimaudio.com/site...t_english_issue1.pdf
i don't think there is a manual for n-serve for Mac.
best
