music downloads

Hi could anyone help me please ive just brought a streamer and was wondering which is the best site to buy music in flac or studio master. Do you download it to computer then transfer it to your hard drive your answers would be much appreciated thanks aceone.

This site is often a good starter as it points to many supplying download sites with comparative prices.

I download it to iMac. Check/change metadata with Metadatics. Then transfer to NAS drive to be streamed by Mimimserver.

The various sites seem to do their own special offers

Qobuz - listen to tracks / buy downloads - they do some quite good offers. You can download "Qobuz desktop" and use it for your downloading

HDTracks - buy downloads

HighResAudio - buy downloads

Bandcamp - listen to tracks / buy downloads - some items you choose what you pay - new bands etc.

I download to my PC hard drive, then upload to my QNap server ( 2 mirrored 3Tb drives) + copy once a week to 2 separate hard drives, then delete from PC har drive to make room for more !!!

These 2 Dutch labels are maybe not having a very large selection but the Sound Quality is incredible.

For the Sound Liaison http://www.soundliaison.com/ label I recommend the PCM(WAV) versions. They are one to one copies of the original recording.

For the trptrk,http://trptk.com/shop/ I am very charmed by the Maya Friedman cello recording.

And don't forget the Naim Records https://www.naimaudio.com/naim-records maybe not so new but still at the top.
