tagging files program

Can somebody suggest me a good command-line tagging program for windows?

I tried  mp3tag and it's a good program but I'm looking for something that works in command line.

Any suggestion will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hi,

After a very quick investigation I would suggest:

1) Contacting the dBpoweramp Music Converter forum to ask if it is possible to use their encoding program to modify tags without actually re-encoding the file

Failing this...

2) Roll up your sleeves and do it in Python. This will give you a cross platform solution

Good luck!

DBPowerAmp can tag files without new encoding. Not sure if it can be used in commande line, BTW why that?

DB can batch-process files.

With dbpoweramp is possible to retag files in one folder at a time, there's not a way to tag files inside different or nested folder.

Why I'm looking for a program that works in cmd line ? I really do not know, as I said I could use mp3tag for my purpose....it's just to play with computers maybe...

The Pyton suggestion is too hard for me, I've found http://www.synthetic-soul.co.uk/tag/ or http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/f....php?showtopic=49751

Thanks

DBPoweramp can re-tag multiple subfolders.

Please Manu, can you help me to tag multiple folders with dbpoweramp?

I'm trying with the EDIT ID TAG utility but I'm able to tag multiple files in the same folder, not in multiple folders.

Thanks
