Would Naim Mu-so work with the following scenarios?

Posted by: Dy2k on 18 November 2016

1. Would Mu-so work with MacBook Air latest version, music in my harddisk through iTunes?

2. Would Mu-so play the sound of YOUTUBE videos or SOUNDCLOUD music which I played in my chrome on MacBook Air with Airplay?

3. Could Mu-so just be a wireless speaker with other laptops which have Bluetooth feature?

Thanks a lot.

I don't have a Mu-so but I think you can do all the above, 1: via Airplay though unless you have asset or some UPnP server installed on your mac.

Any audio being played on your MacBook can be played on the Muso via AirPlay.

And yes it has Bluetooth so should pair with other Bluetooth devices.

Yes, yes and yes.
Airplay works OK but if your music is all in your iTunes library, you could do better to utilise a uPnP server on your MacBook - such as Minim Server or Asset. Then you can simply "point" the Naim app to that music server and use the Naim app to choose and play your music. That way, it also gives you easy access to all of the radio stations, Tidal, Spotify etc. if you subscribe to those services, all from the Naim app.
Otherwise, you'd either have to use your MacBook to choose and play tracks or use the "Remote" app to access your iTunes library.

The MuSo is available at the Apple Store.  Check out the reviews and Apple.com.   It took us a while to fall in love but we love ours now.
