As the result of recent events that I'll not continue to dwell on, I now have a pile of Naim boxes and some cables that are no longer needed. Should I scrap the boxes, sell them? I have a concern that selling them might aid certain types getting rid of 'hot' gear.... probably an over reaction? Some of the snaics and power leads are still in excellent condition but again I'm concerned in the same way. Then there's the napsc which needs repair (din plug was cut off, but rest of cable attached).
Thoughts please much appreciated.

If your insurance company are paying out on a claim then they have rights to it as salvage. Otherwise, take it to your Naim dealer. Certain parts have some value, others don't. Worst thing would be for someone to buy unsuspectingly or with a view to "fixing up" incompetently and then selling on to an unsuspecting buyer.

I would keep the cables for now. Who knows what gear you eventually end up with - they may come in handy (provided the insurance company does not want them - I doubt they would though).
Remember - you cannot deprive us of a pleasure of having an endless debate as to which boxes you absolutely must buy with the insurance money
