nac 152xs or nac 202 upgrade from nac 112x with Flatcap 2x

Yes you're best advised to get a demonstration as you suggest.

The changes in sonic characteristics may complement or disrupt the balance of your system, and you are the best judge of that.

Hello I am new to the forum and am thinking of a pre amp upgrade as stated in the title..I have had the nac112x , flatcap 2x for a while now and was thinking how is the nac 202 different sonically to the nac 152xs. I believe they both have a  separate  circut for the digi bits / display etc and one for the analogue signal.. Has anyone compared them. The 202 is a fair bit more expensive ' is it worth the extra money..Am I best to just get a demonstration..??

A pot 8 serviced Nac 82 will walk over a 202 allready way too expensive IMO, many of these on used market as well.

A 152 is nice with its FCXS psu

I have owned most of these but ended up liking my 72 better in musically terms, biggest compromise for someone is lack of remote
