Core production release

I think the dealers are still waiting ??

What's a production core?

My dealer said a week ago they were coming in today, but I haven't had a phone call. But they are being built - we saw them on the production line during the visit last week.

Well according to a Tweet 8 minutes ago, the word from Salisbury is that Core will reach UK dealers next week. So which one of you guys is going to be the first?  :-)

Jon, just curious, are you getting one for personal use or are you getting one in the first instance to review it?

Chrish. Of course both for pcpro and hificritic. But I don't review preproduction items or manufacturer loan equipment.

Dropped into the dealers yesterday, they had an email from Naim while I was there saying next week, they didn't tell me which day though.

Thought so, just wasn't too sure whether US/core was also the backbone to your system or whether you used NAS or Melco to serve your music in your 'normal' home music streaming environment, if there ever is such a thing in the Honeyball household!

normal? here? gales of laughter :-)

yes, multiple nas at home. multiple networks. HDX in main rack. QB etc. all sorts of bits and pieces, some on sale some not

We have started to ship Core to dealers on Thursday in North America. And we will have enough units to ship what they will sell before the end of the year.

Can't begin to imagine how a 6 pack DBL sounds...or even the amount of cabling!

Cambs is a bit of a trek from Warks but if I'm ever in your neck of the woods I would love the chance.

Anyone got a production core yet from a dealer?

My dealer is now saying "January". I would be interested to know if any have arrived with customers in the uk

I have just phoned a handful of dealers around the uk -- they were expecting stock tomorrow, but were told yesterday by Naim that core has been delayed until the new year

OK, the next best thing to stare at over Xmas is then the black monolith in 2001 - space odyssey!

Most likely, in depth listening tests revealed that the black wire needs to go over the red wire for optimal streaming, and not vice versa (reminds me to my inserting naim's headphone re-reversal bridge into my early adopter's 272).
