Posted by: tonycurran1 on 16 December 2016

hi i have just ordered the naim dac to go with my CDX 2.2 and XPS-DR

when it comes on monday where does the burndy cord go?

The Burndy is connected to the Dac and XPS with the white banded end connected to the DAC (source end).

Make sure the link plug of the CDX2.2 is in position.

Ensure CDX2.2 is switched to SPDIF position

BNC COAX cable from CDX2.2 to DAC. Make sure direction is from CD to DAC.

Output of DAC is RCA or DIN to pre-amp (select appropriate switch on rear of DAC)

Ground switch connected to floating on DAC.

Tony, You're making me giddy with what feels like a new box every 12 days ;-)   Is your rack decent for your five boxes?

Connections are: CDX2.2 > digital out to nDAC > analogue out. Watch out for signal ground switch on the nDAC.p vs other components in your system.

XPS goes on the nDAC. You still need another power cord on the nDAC too. The internal power supply handles the digital swction of the nDAC nad XPS will power the analogue output stage of the nDAC.

Not another third party PSU discussion, you're going to get in trouble, Adam

By the way Chris - I was having problems with my GMail account yesterday - did my email reach you?
