System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

A nice man from UPS picked up my 120 today for a journey to Paris, where it will undergo surgery to become a 220 Pro.

Great pictures as usual folks - keep them coming

Hy James,

this will be a big step for you - for a couple of weeks had a quick compare of my 400 against one 250pro - guess who was the winner...

Not sure, when I do the upgrade - new turntable might be comming first.
Maybe I will wait, until the streaming-board is finally released...

Will follow your journey!

Lovely Hounds....mine usually leaves the room when I play music, particularly with Vinyl for some reason.

Nice place too!

Ah, excellent, our systems are almost the same.  My turntable has an XX-2 as well

Big changes for 2017, i've seen the error of my ways. A 272 / 250DR combo is replacing my Devialet so it’s all packed up ready for it’s new owner…

Only joking...

James, you have clearly not seen the error of your ways.

ULRIKL- Fab room and I like how the boxes are placed behind the listener.

Curious how you like the Music on the Urika- I did the demo and was pretty amazed  !

Also, if you don't mind, what level is your n-sub set at with the Ovators? Thanks in advance...

Posted on: 07 January 2017 by hungryhalibut

That's a very impressive setup; I particularly like the way the electronics are discreetly positioned below the shelf - so much nicer than having to look at endless racks of boxes. Having heard the S800s myself, I'm a little surprised to see an nSub though!

Agree with MDS, one word, Wow!! Let's end the thread there.

Posted on: 07 January 2017 by ULRIKL

Varyat: The LP 12 is stunning, especially when i changed the interconnects from original Linn silvers to Chord Music, Its fabulus! With the Music the Lp 12 is compleately transformed. Faster, more natural, more fun, more live feeling....

The n-sub is set on 40 hz (I am away so I cant see the other settings)-

Hungryhalibut: Thank you! Yes I am glad to "hide" the boxes a little bit.  Made a lot of planning when I builded the house. I put pipes in the concrete so I could fit the speaker cables. You can see they come up behind the speakers.

The n sub is there but you cant hear it. In some way it cleans up the midrange and higher frequensies, it doesn´t  give any bass. From the biginning I had the n sub to a 5.1 system but I have discovered that it improves the sound even in my new system, so it have to stay

Hi Ulrik... a full Statement into S800s is a system we can all aspire to. I've heard the Ststement Pre into S600s in a domestic setttng with active 300s,  but the full deal into 800s must be fantastic. Really great looking room as well.
