System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

Hi DAVEBK

Thank you! Yes the system is fantastic!

You clearly have one of the best systems money can buy and some might be tempted to flaunt it, i.e. put it on show for all to admire. But you have this wonderful system discreetly positioned and no way dominating the listening environment.

It says to me you care more about the music than you do about the system, and in my book that is the right set of priorities.

Wonderful.

Big changes for 2017, i've seen the error of my ways. A 272 / 250DR combo is replacing my Devialet so it’s all packed up ready for it’s new owner…

Only joking...

James, you have clearly not seen the error of your ways.

Cheeky

That's the most discrete high end system i've seen. Very nice indeed (and a lovely room too)

Somewhat guiltily, I have to admit that if I had that system, I'd show it off a lot more!

Varyat: The LP 12 is stunning, especially when i changed the interconnects from original Linn silvers to Chord Music, Its fabulus! With the Music the Lp 12 is compleately transformed. Faster, more natural, more fun, more live feeling....

The n-sub is set on 40 hz (I am away so I cant see the other settings)-

Hungryhalibut: Thank you! Yes I am glad to "hide" the boxes a little bit.  Made a lot of planning when I builded the house. I put pipes in the concrete so I could fit the speaker cables. You can see they come up behind the speakers.

The n sub is there but you cant hear it. In some way it cleans up the midrange and higher frequensies, it doesn´t  give any bass. From the biginning I had the n sub to a 5.1 system but I have discovered that it improves the sound even in my new system, so it have to stay

/Ulrik

Yes, I found the Music did the same when I heard it as well- I have one on the way to be delivered .

Seems we have similar ears as I have my n-sub connected as well with Kudos Titans T88's- it does bring "something" to the overall listening experience. Cheers on your set-up, really awesome.

ATB,

Mark

Yeah, me too. But respect to those who show restraint!

Yes, it is definitely separate and distinct. It is also rather unassuming

Ever tempted to go active? I bet you 6 NAP S1s would really get those Ovator 800s singing. Go on... I know you want to

I was thinking of posting a system picture - but after seeing ULRIKL's man cave I might leave it a few pages

My update for this thread.. a newly added 2nd system (living room) and some shots of my Kitchen Muso just because :-)

The last pic is of my bulldog Holly who tolerated me moving her on the couch so I could take the pictures and was only mildly put out by the whole interruption to her normal afternoon routine of napping.

Love the room & the Iota alpha's. How do they sound?

Simply awesome. I'd love to see your 2nd system too if you care to post :-)

The Iota's sound a lot bigger than you would imagine given their size. And despite their placement manage to project a nice wide soundstage with quite precise imaging. The Iota / Unitlite combo produces some major boogie factor... lots of fun to listen to.

Seriously impressive man cave! And not just the Statement level system, but as others have pointed out, the room is tres cool as well!

NIGELB: Yes music first, but the hardware is a lot of fun too!

PAUL DAVIES: Active NAP S1......new house to fit them in..... not within the next couple of years

DRMARK and others: Thank you!

Another extremely nice room!

How do the Neat Motive 3 handle all those Naim flagships on your system 2: NDX, NAC552 DR, NAP500 ?

oh I give up

Posted on: 08 January 2017 by DrMark

PETERSFI - I think your issue is trying to post from an mail attachment (that's what it looks like) - they need to be on the web so that they have a URL (e.g., on Photobucket or some other such photo hosting service/site. Then on the photo you want, right click, select the copy image location from the menu, and paste that URL into the "Insert/Edit Image" popup that appears when you click on that function in the tool bar over your post. (You can hover over each item to see which is which) - then hit OK and it should be there for you.

Hope that helps, and if I am incorrect about what you tried to do, forgive me please.
