Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.
After my previous post with the system in my man cave, this is the rest of the kit in the lounge. The second one includes cat protection device, as the senile moggy has the annoying habit of choosing the RP3 as a suitable seat if permitted. Suspect he will not last long though and then I get things back to how they should be.
Is that a real hedgehog
No! Wooden base and spines are twigs - quite realistic though but no musical attributes

Love the moggy rejection device, but dontcha hate all those remotes
Bane of our lives - every device seems to have its own. It would surely be possible to have a common remote for everything.

Hmm...This has to be the earliest April fool joke ever.

So one is not allowed to prefer a P3 to an lp12? I still prefer my VPI .

If that's a real question, perhaps you need some new glasses.
Of course it's a real question. It could be a very still hedgehog

On principle 'no' But exceptions are allowed at times.

Tell me about it; I have a new TV & junked Sky. And fair play to Sony the BRP & PVR all work from the TV remote, The BR & PVR remotes now live hidden in a draw. Audio is only iPad & I keep the Naim NARCOM-4 (amp remote) handy for on/off & volume. I've never used the NDX remote except to realise its easier to the front panel buttons

Inspired by the oldest hi-fi you own thread, my 30+ year old CB140.
Ready for a second system one day...

Better late than never I suppose. New from last time around; Rega RP8 with Apheta 2 cartridge, Naim Stageline, powerline and a S Booster linear power supply to power my USB regen. Not expecting much this year beyond a few power lines as I intend investing in a motorbike.

The wood and cones on those Arias look lovely Dayjay, dead posh.

Yeah Dave, I have tried using the 'investing' word with the wife when it comes to big toys and it simply doesn't work on her. I hope your better half is more, let's say, understanding.

I'm another one admiring the speakers Dave, looking very good in that photo.

Hanner: What a stunning system and layout ,, the symmetry is wonderful ... Excellent ..
Posted on: 26 January 2017 by Hanner
Although symmetry is nothing what you should aim in room acoustics, just as little as the positioning of the racks between the speakers. But in this case there was no alternative: the room has only two vertical walls: this one and the other interrupted by the chimney.

Very nice - what's the Deck - looks like Thorens or Phonosophie ?
Posted on: 26 January 2017 by Hanner
Yep its an old Thorens TD-320 modified with parts from Phonosophie and b-fly, silversoldered interconnect "Sommer Epilogue" with a handmade AC2-psu from Sean Jacobs of CHC in Leeds (as well as the XPS and the SC alternatives at the bottom of the right rack). The complete set:
Thorens TD 320 mod / Ortofon Quintet black / Superline + HC2-DR / NAT01 mod / TEAC V8030S / CDX2.2 + CHC-XPS / NDX / NAC 252 + CHC-SC / NAP 300 DR / Musical Fidelity M1 HPA / Grado PS 500 / Sennheiser HD 650, 700, 800 / Ovator S400

I was more impressed by the mat for CDs to sit on.... Impressive system never the less.

Hi Hanner, who made your beautiful audio rack? Stunning
Posted on: 26 January 2017 by Hanner
It's made by a German factory named "Empire" near Cologne, a model which is called "Precision MC" with ViaBlue spikes at the bottom elements.
