System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

Hello group:
This is my favorite thread and I thought it was time to contribute. I purchased a new RP10 recently and thought it was a good time to rebuild the stacks and clean everything so here are some pics of the rebuild and final layout.
Left Stack: (top to bottom)
nDAC
CD5XS
Rega RP10 PSU
Middle Stack:
Rega RP10
282
Superline
Right Stack:
Supercap DR (Superline)
250.2 (non-DR)
Supercap (282), non-DR
Not pictured, S400 with NAC5 (shown going into wall, speakers are 90-degrees to the gear, on the opposite side of the room.
Mostly PowerLined, except NAPSC, and CD5XS which has a Cryo'd A/V Options cable.
The power distribution device is an Audience PDC. The power outlets are FIM (First in Music) feed by separate 20AMP circuits. The little black discs are VibraPods left over from a previous system and used here to lift power cables off the floor. We'll see how long they stay there.

Looks a very impressive set up, happy days as they say...
He must have received some good advice in putting it all together.
Nigel, you really are a god!!
Arch, I normally really dislike the towers of electronics near the point of collapsing, but wow, they look fantastic in your room! I would love to seek more of the room.
Arch7- very smart looking system! Your careful attention to detail re cable management is great. Great that you have room for 3 stacks as it really helps both visually and providing more top shelves for sensitive boxes- those top shelves are highly desirable!!

Mark

Thanks Mark! I added the taller shelf for the RP10 about a year ago (then holding the P9), to give some air to the 282 since it would like a top shelf as well. Middle stack has no power components at all which is nice.
Arch,
Do you live in a castle?
Ray
He might not live in a Castle, but his Sound System is fit for a King!
Great Job!

I wish! Just a nicely paneled room for the music. Came with the house and I knew it would make a great listening room.

Hi Arch - i see you have your NAPSC on the floor - not on the fraim besides the superline - is this to adhere to the "brawn" stack to the right or have you tested it to be a superior sound that way?
The floor is the best place for it, as far from the superline and preamp as possible. It's a noisy little bugger, which is why it has long wires.

It's not.
But in that system it's fine on the floor away from something sensitive like the SL (as you would do with any power supply).

Nigel was very helpful, no doubt about that. Not all of it was taken though, especially around the rack choice. It was blind faith to buy kit that was never sampled and trusting great advice from someone id never met. It all ended well..

Hi Wunderbaum:
As others have mentioned its to keep the middle stack totally PSU-free and the SL happy, and keep as much power related boxes on the right side. I can't imagine it would be better on the Fraim so I never even tested it.
NAPSC tended to give off RFI and as such was placed as far away from the main kit as possible.

How come ?

I beg to differ. I know conventional wisdom used to be to site the Naspc as far from the rack as possible etc but I found performance benefits by putting the NAPSC back on the main rack (brawn stack) and plugging it into the dedicated rings-main.

I'm sure it would sound better without that great big cabinet in the way. Try it.

Well done! AKG K812 - excellent cans
As Rolf used to say, "can you tell what it is yet"?

NAP 500 back from service?
