System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

Nearly forgot this. It's on an Audiotech wall shelf near the hot seat.

It must be the new Naim Stealth 1 mega-amp.

Yes. I've stuck my Muso on top of the Fraim that usually holds them, no mystery box, just glass shelves. I've just connected the telly to the Muso using Blutooth, works a treat.

Looks like a small single floorstander behind centre of Muso. ??

Have you experimented with positioning the MuSo on the Fraim?

Naturellement!  After much experimentation I found that by moving the Muso 2mm further forward and adding a 6mm diameter lump of Blu-Tack to the left rear corner it utterly transformed the sound.

Did it sound broken before the blu tack?

A 3cm by 3cm square of paper under the back left foot would sound much better than blutac.

Anyone using beer felts for this purpose?

I hadn't realized that he had "departed" ... nutty as hell but a character who definitely added some humanity to the industry.

Chrome Bumper combo being prepared and cleaned.

250 is now gone, exchanged with a mint Nap 140 (Nac 62 up, left right HC and 140)

42 & XS now at rest, the latter will be eventually moved next week in the basement along with nSats

I played a couple of cd early this morning and it was really huge fun. it seems that 140 + 400s is a marriage made in heaven. Yo my ears it  shows a more open and fast sound to the 250 i owned, an old '82 example with 001 power devices. It cleaerly improved after recap but i still prefer the 140. Oh even about sounstage, the sound  seems now more out of the box with of a very nice focus of voices. In fact  even with a seating position of nearly 4m away there is a nice focus while before i was forced to get closer.

This is the 3rd 140 i'm owning, the first one in 1987, i bought a second one in November last year but sold it since it was not cosmetically perfect

Roberto
