System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

Yes. From his early teens onward, Franky Sin was rarely seen without an unfiltered Camel in his hand.

I think you'll find in that picture it's a dog in his hand not a camel!

You mean " in that picture his hand is in the dog and not a camel "

IMG_2573AFraiming and walking in Wiltshire. This is how the Fraiming last Saturday went and I had a great time walking in the area over the rest of the weekend too!

Multi-tasking? Well, I enjoyed it.

Always curious, as to what a Naim Retailer is spinning.

Good idea not to list in profile!

But it looks sweet and Simple, besides the TT!

I think you'll find that's a system that Peter had set up for a customer, rather than his own setup.

Spacey,

is it possible to have a view of the fireplace (if it's a fireplace)? The single wooden frame piece against all the black and modern is very attractive.

I thought my Core had had a tough couple of months what with all that beta testing, so I took it on holiday to Cornwall last week with one of its mates, the Qb from our bedroom. The racking was quite informal though.....

How was the 2011 Ducasse?

Bet it had an immeasurable effect on SQ. Does the ordering of bottles by vintage and corks vs screwtops have any effect I wonder?

I find for general listening, SQ is optimised by about 2 glasses, that sweet spot of maximum relaxation before the faculties start being reduced. If you pass 2 bottles of wine, then frankly you might as well listen to X Factor on a 64k MP3.

One important tip if you drink screwcap wine is to replace your Fraim chips with the appropriate screw caps when drinking your favourite wine, the synergy is incredible.

Yes it was very good thanks. I probably should have kept it for a couple more years, but it winked at me when I was thinkibg about holiday drinking....

Hmm, I also enjoyed sharing a bottle last week & a rather nice Paulliac too. Owned by Credit Agricole I think, the second wine - Prelude a Grand Puy Ducasse is also rather good.
