Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

Let's get back to work!

First i want to thank Wayne (you know who and where) for his zeal!

Can't say how it works as my 82 spent the last months silent and waiting for a proper service! Hope to be able to ship and get it back soon.....

I actually also auditioned the ki3 Avantgarde arrete back when I was upgrading speakers, as they are in relatively the same price range. Also very good speakers that actually impressed my a lot. They were very close to the SR3 Supers, maybe not as deep in the bass, but very much the same sound signature.

Also auditioned a couple of other speakers (Dali, B&W, Monitor Audio) but fell in love with the Audiovectors

Si3 super or signature are also nice (SR3 is the new series). Dutch distributor does a great job, Audiovector is quite popular in here.

Todays Hi End Cables, have advanced immensely within the last 10 years.

Such that Entry level Hi end Cables Can Rival, or surpass the reference Interconnects of yesterday!

How much does Naim's Hi Line Cost!

Thanks. Yes, they are the Harbeth Super HL5 Plus. The rack is a Finite Elemente Spider though the company is now out of business.

i agree, speakers are a bit compressed and can't breathe. But visually it is nice...perhaps the WAF factor?

bullocks. The distance between the back wall, corners and listening area is most important. A cabinet placed between the speakers has very little effect.

Acoustics guy,

There is no manufacturer for the stands as they are custom-made locally. Sound Anchor, Skylan and Something Solid are popular with Harbeth speakers..

Why do Harbeth speakers have this look that makes you want to have a pair, when they usually end up disappointing or boring you? What's in a shape? What's in a name?

A 70s BBC box, without its name, would sound just the same?
