System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.
The thing above the amp is an AURALiC Aries Mini (brilliant piece of kit - easy to set up and great sound) and the amp is an Exposure XM5 as pointed out above.
And no, not missing the green at all. Just enjoying the music.

The SN2 really is immaculate, so if anyone here has recently sent theirs to St Albans, many thanks for looking after it so well.
you have a neat pussy
A slight return...

Slight!
Cool for Cats indeed...

Indeed a couple of things should be changed. At the like of the owner of course!
Shoe box audio pleasure
DAC V1, Unitiqute 2, HiCap for Stageline. I like very much this model line of Naim shoe box components. Could live easily with UQ2, HiCap, Stageline and TT.
Long time since I wanted a pair of n-Sats. Finally got one.
This is a temporary situation before UQ2 and n-Sats going to the kitchen.
And these are my non-original n-Sat brackets for wall mounting. So the new members in my modest Naim family are the HiCap and n-Sats with the dedicated stands.

Past, present and future,
Completely downsized my original system and upgraded my speakers. Very happy enjoying music now rather than analysing it and messing about with different components etc. A slightly healthier bank balance too!
Astonished by SQ this little box produces.

None that I can hear! This SN2 says to the XS "move over, kiddo, let me show you how it's done!" The authority it commands versus the original XS really is something.
cats have much better hearing than humans!
But...but...but...it's not GREEN!!!
A bit of clear green tape would cure that.
No need for a photo shop edit with these photos.
We've made a couple of changes - shorter legs and a bigger painting.
Hi HH - better on both accounts. The rack looks neater this way.
Nothing has changed in a while, except for a new cupboard to store the evergrowing vinyl collection...

Great picture. Any chance it's by Neil Davies?
I'm impressed! Well spotted.

We're frequent visitors to St Ives (and the New Craftsman gallery).
Moved the 250DR to the top..nothing much

Very neat & stylish!

I thought you'd gone for longer columns so as to create distance between the transformers and the 272? Have you noticed any difference in performance, HH?
The longer columns were needed to keep the SL din to XLR wire off the carpet. I've recently followed DB's advice to tie a loose knot in the lead to shorten it, which means the shorter columns can return. I'd like the lower ones to be shorter too, but that would mean that the burndy would touch the carpet, and you can't tie a knot in a burndy - not easily anyway. What I have now seems a reasonable compromise.

Thanks, HH. That makes sense and the SVT now looks more proportionate.
