System Pics 2017

Welcome to System Pics 2017. To get us started here is a picture of my setup: other than longer legs on the rack and some new wires, it's just the same as last year.

What are the speakers? They look very interesting.
That’s probably Si1 or Sr1 model.
I got a pair of white audiovector’s too

This, plus a NAS, has been my system for the past 5 months .. it did an excellent job
Nice suspense picture - almost like a space ship...
I thought it WAS a spaceship!
I don't know that I would ever be able to have one, as it takes the proper room environment, but some of these white systems look really sharp "in situ".
Yesterday, I upgraded my system from a NAP200DR to a NAP250DR. A dealer had a second hand NAP250DR available and I could trade in my NAP200DR for a good price. Very happy with the first impression in sound quality improvement. Also, I was able to pick-up a second hand Fraim a couple a months ago.

Super! What a lovely room in which to enjoy your music.

Outside that looks like somewhere in the Netherlands?

Yes, I'm living in the Netherlands. Regards, Jeroen.

Beautiful room and set up.

Tell the difference in what? I think you need an amplifier as well.
Love my nait 3 which matches your cd player and power supplies.
Enjoy

Tell the difference in appearance between before and after a re-cap. A Nait 3 sits on a higher shelf..

Yes, it’s Audiovector, S1, Si1 or SR1 generation.
But you’re holding them back with NACA5. Audiovector are capabale of breathtaking lifelike sound and resolution.
Those wires don’t look like NacA5. Anyway, if NacA5 is good enough for Naim DBLs, I’m sure it’s good enough for small Audiovectors.
Trust me, they don’t work together.
Those slim line olive boxes is where it all started for me - good to see them still looking cool after all these years.

Back to SN2 for a second and last time. For now I use the Atom in a second system and have swapped my twenty5.21 for the ProAc Tablette 10s.
Cant quite put my finger on what I began not to like about the PMCs, but in this room Proac’s are a revelation and possibly the best speakers I’ve owned. My future and final upgrade will be a phono stage and possibly a DAC.
Rega RP8- Ania- Fono MC
Supernait 2
Chord Mojo - SotM SMS-200
ProAc Tablette 10 (Oak)
Nice set up and pics but why with such a powerfull amp and very good TT you have such small speakers? You can get floorstanders with the same height (speaker+stand) with decent bass quality and quantity!
Some of the best sound I've had in a small room was with a small speakers/big amp setup. Small speakers need that extra muscle to do their thing. Big speakers often sound boomy in an a small untreated room.
I already own Proacs and my next speakers will most likely be more Proacs a well. Unfortunately bad distribution here in North America makes it harder to demo Proac than it used to be.

The cables are Chord, not NACA5.
@Jeroen20...
Wow. That room looks really live. Nice view, but don't you get a lot of secondary audio off all that glass?

Hi Mike,
I have installed three sound panels in my room. You can see one of them at the left side. Before I installed them I had the acoustics of my room measured. Based on that I got the advice to install about 6 m2 of sound panels to absorb the reflections. That with a large carpet gave me good results.

Hi Jeroen, a great setup for music and a nice music room. The view makes me nostalgic to return back to the Netherlands....
I’m recovering from a prostatectomy and banned from heavy lifting so my dealer spent the morning rearranging the racks to give extra space round the three power supplies on the bottom right. We also moved the nDAC above the 282 on the left.
We played Yellow Brick Road ( Funeral for a Friend), a notoriously testing double LP, and the changes recommended on an excellent thread 3-4 weeks ago do work. The SuperCap DR really benefits from not being close to the 300 DR PS at the bottom. Did the XPS DRfor the nDAC as well using and empty shelf. Much more excitement etc in the sound which is very alive.
