Have you switched it off, switched off the network back to the router and switched them back on, one at a time, from the router outwards, allowing each device a couple of minutes to initialise? This often does it and it's a step which needs eliminating before becoming too concerned.

Every few weeks my NDS doesn't 'see' my server. A quick power cycle of the NDS is all that's needed.

What did you upgrade? Naim firmware or QNAP firmware? MinimServer software?

Out of curiosity does any one else have the issue when powering cycling a NAIM streamer having the "fault 36...." message appear on screen? I am avoiding to power off my NDX as when I do I need 3-5 power cycles without the dreaded "fault 36.." appearing... my NDX is powered by an XP5 PS but I don't think this has anything to do with the fault message. The streamer is running latest beta FW.
