London New Years Eve Fireworks with 360 degree camera

Neat idea on BBC website.

You have to scoot forward to about 9:30 for fireworks to begin, then you can control your viewpoint.

Interesting that much of the crowd chooses to view the fireworks on their phones!

This is such a comfort. In a country where people are sleeping on the streets, High Streets are now full of charity shops and pawn brokers, the NHS is pretty much down the crapper and in a world where malaria still hasn’t been eradicated and a significant proportion of the population do not have clean drinking water, some of us have money to burn. No point in giving it away or investing it – just burn it. Looks pretty. Who cares about people who are too lazy to do well for themselves – and hey, they can watch it too. Lucky us. Greatly comforting on a cold January night. Well I say cold, it’s not like I can’t turn the thermostat up. Bullingdon Club style beggar baiting for the less privileged population.
