Last year's thread can be found here;
On vinyl.
John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (1970). On remastered/remixed CD from 2000. John's liberation from The Beatles. Unbridled music spoken from the gut. Simple and brilliant.

Similarly, when working in London in the late 70's, I used to frequent a night club south of the River, where ska and reggae was the music of choice.
It wasn't until The Beat appeared on TOTP, doing "Mirror in the Bathroom", that the penny dropped, and that this was a home grown band, whose album was featured, in it's entirety, each week.
Rush to record shop, buy immediately ..........and, know what? ............it STILL sounds great!
Oh well, why not?
The Beat - I Just Can't Stop It .............. erm ..................LOUD!
