2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
2006 - Vinyl - US pressing...

My favourite of her albums too. The sax coming in on Love & Affection stills gives me a thrill.
Not exactly dark yet but the Nocturnes are already being played.

Its beautifully recorded too Mike, instruments just jump out at you, a real pleasure to listen to
Steve Vai, Passion and Warfare, 2013 re-issue (1990) vinyl. Clear as a bell and powerful multi-harmonic seven string Ibanez blistering sonic attack.
A slight change of pace and my favourite Yes album. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Cheb Mami - Dellali. Streaming a CD rip.
Played this constantly in the early 2000's, but stopped abruptly in 2007 when he was arrested for kidnapping his girlfriend. A very ugly story. But now, a decade later, I am reminded of why I used to love this album. What a voice! If you want to try modern Algerian Rai music, this a must-listen.
Abbey Lincoln - It's Magic. CD rip. 'you smile, the song begins..it's magic'
On CD:-
Zakir Hussain - Making Music - CD rip.
Blondie. Greatest Hits. On CD from 2002. Fun listen. Lots of great songs from my high school years.
docbot posted:Roger Waters - The Wall QOBUZ 24/48 First listen. I am enjoying this as much as the PF version.
I saw the film for the first time a couple of weeks ago on TV. Excellent concert music and footage. Not sure I needed Roger motoring around the country side shedding tears.
Nirvana. Nevermind (1991). On BG remastered vinyl from 2009. Blockbuster album. Kurt Kobain would have been 50 years old today.
Suzanne Vega. Beauty & Crime. On CD from 2007. I can't seem to get enough of Suzanne lately. Need to get out and get some more of her albums.
Heart. Magazine. On vinyl from 1977. There's some good guitar playing on this album. Very tight sounding band at the time and much better than the hair-band they would become in the 80s.
Raspberries' Best. On original vinyl from 1976. "Go All The Way" features one of the 70's great power riffs. SQ is marginal as this really a produced for AM radio and TV band. Might be interesting to hear the MFSL LP.
PJ Harvey. Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea. On CD from 2000. I'm having some new found fun with CDs after putting a HCDR on my CD5X. This one sounding very good.
In remembrance during my workout...

Someone gave me a vinyl copy of this because he didn't like it. Unbelievable!
1977 - The Grateful Dead - "Morning Dew" Live...

In that case, if you haven't already got it, I'd strongly recommend this box set, joerand:

Good shout Mike, I would second that recommendation.
