I had meant to add a link to this so here it is.. the track What It Is Kid. The 'Tops showing just how good they can be when they get the bit between their teeth.
Pain of Salvation, In The Passing Light of Day, WAV CD Rip.
I liked this the first time I played it on tidal so ordered the CD. Every time I play this now it enjoy it more as I am getting to know the lyrics. Good stuff.
Classic Records 200g vinyl. Those drums!
Paloma Faith: Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? CD rip. Not listened to this in a while and a reminder how good this debut was. Not so keen on the follow on albums in comparison.
Riverside, Out Of Myself, WAV Cd rip.
A proper old prog banger, on a good 180g pressing from (I think) 2000.
Last one of the events no...
It has been such a long time since I have listened to anything by Frankie Miller that I had forgotten just how good he is.
This album of covers by Frankie Miller and guests is 'absolutely fabulous'. I am sure that Edina and Patsy would approve.
Social Club Misfits

Dark Green Tree - "Secret Lives"

I had never heard of this group until very recently when a friend of mine played it for me.
I find it very difficult to classify the music, but it is a hauntingly good album and well worth a listen, although unfortunately not on Tidal.
A super early one (1957) before the fame and recognition, never the less, one of his best alums:

If Grief Could Wait:
Giovanna Pessi: baroque harp
Susanna K. Wallumrød: voice
Jane Achtman: viola da gamba
Marco Ambrosini: nyckelharpa
Lynyrd Skynyrd. Street Survivors. On original vinyl from 1977. A really sweet sounding album. The cover art an sad harbinger.
James Taylor. Greatest Hits. On original vinyl from 1976. An album I listened to on 8-track back in the day. Interesting to hear it on vinyl all these years later. The SQ is excellent.
The Best Of Carly Simon. On vinyl from 1975. Seemed like a natural follow-up to JT.
