2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;

Don't see much Cactus on here. Must find my One Way Or Another CD set and give it a play, though my album cover looks like this:
1971 - Vinyl - 1973 U.K. pressing...
3 trax off the album.

Yep. A lad from Paulsgrove I believe. We went to the same high school where he sometimes played piano at morning assembly.
Today's arrival, first album by Dan Nimmer:
Logan Richardson - Shift with Pat Metheny, not totally convinced yet, but perhaps requires a couple of runs more...
Yes, Relayer, Friday Music 180g reissue. Vinyl, obvs. Great in the sense that my first edition end of side distortion due to past tracking errors has been removed. But a crackly transcription nonetheless. 'Our reason to be here'?
Now listening to the new of Ethan Iverson - Purity of the Turf with Ron Carter, sounds interesting , so will listen more often...
Enya wTermRk, 1st edition vinyl; the 250.2 brings a hitherto sense of gravitas, weight and authority to an otherwise publicly unregarded album.
The best record of 2017 in my view. I was rating it just behind In Rainbows, but I'm not so sure now. Might be their best ever.

HH, There is not a single dud track on this album. Great album. Another favourite is Night and Day. Saw him live last year performing his most recent album Fast Forward, which is pretty good. My favourite live gig of his was during the Jumping Jive tour, an absolute cracker.

Have you tried this?
Well worth checking out.

Not been on my radar until now Steve. Thanks for the tip off.

Weezer (Green Album). On CD from 2001. A solid album, but I don't think the band ever exceeded the heights of their brilliant debut.
Doobie Brothers - Takin' It To The Streets
Recently picked up the Original Album Series Box Set - has their first 5 (actually 2nd through 6th) albums for about $20 on Amazon. Ordered the second set for about $13 which contains the rest of their stuff. (The first album that nobody seems to know, and then the last 4, culminating with the 1984 Farewell Tour album...who knew they would get back together and tour for longer than the first time of the band.)

That's an interesting way to separate the box sets. I always considered the Doobies at their best to be the pre Michael McDonald era with a distinct change in the band's sound on his arrival. Their original five albums as a set seems logical to me, but I'm not a marketer.
(1972)
Streaming from Tidal Masters, a decent way to start this misty morn'.

Now with a picture, quite good album...
Queen, Queen II, still my favourite early Queen album when they were still all over the place musically. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
