What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours.
Another great album to stretch one's system.
It's getting a bit rougher here...

Good album Bert, I had my first listen at the weekend, thanks for the heads up.
Yello - Toy.
Who'd have imagined that trialling a new cable could be such fun?
Micro dynamics? Maxi dynamics, more like.
The cats came in so switched to something less aggressive...

Recorded in 1985 this album contains some of his best work .. IMO .. an excellent quality recording. Great percussion by Luis Jardim ..
Surely it spans '77 to '85. And as far as I know Luis Jardim only appears on one song, from Goodbye Cruel World.
it's been a bit of a different evening...via Tidal
Faithless, No Roots, WAV CD Rip.
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.
Still stretching the system with this most dynamic album.
Keb' Mo' - Keb' Mo'.
Final one of this evening, and one of my favourite "test the system" albums.
Gary Burton – vibraphone
Chick Corea – piano
Pat Metheny – guitar
Roy Haynes – drums
Dave Holland – double bass
Recorded in 1998:
The Everly Brothers. EB84. On vinyl from 1984. An album produced by Dave Edmonds that includes performances from Paul McCartney, Jeff Lynne, and Albert Lee. Don and Phil Everly's vocals are wonderful, but the album is kinda pseudo-country meets mid-1980s synth-pop with some busy production on the echo/reverb.
ELP. Brain Salad Surgery. On original vinyl from 1973. Everyone needs a little salad now and again to keep the system functioning properly.
Clifton Chenier. Boogie & Zydeco. On UK vinyl from 1979. Because the accordion should at times be heard played by a guy not wearing lederhosen.
A + | WAV

Return to Childhood 20th Anniversary Tour of Misplaced Childhood - 16bit 44.1kHz Wave
Picked up in a secondhand CD shop, Album simple brilliant, this will get many plays.
Edward
Nic Jones, Penguin Eggs.
Folk is not a big category in my collection, but I often come back to this very fine album.
And on to some soulful, graceful Strat playing with Ronnie Earl. Delicious
A + | Tidal
(1969)
Sadly I no longer have this on my original Harvest Vinyl so Tidal is standing in dutifully. Playing sides 3 and 4 which are more Orchestra biased.

Another very good, interesting prog-rock recommendation by Slim68.
Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night.
Played "Rumours" last night for the first time in a long time, which leads to this one ................ I'd forgotten / overlooked just how good this is.
