2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
An album I always enjoy. I find it has a pleasing haunting quality if you know what I mean.
Archie Shepp - I Know About the Life. CD rip. A good one for a lazy day, recorded in Feb 1981 in Toronto.
1970 - Vinyl - UK first pressing...
Temples - Volcano
New album from London psych-poppers. Bright, breezy, and with a nod in the direction of the first MGMT album. Good stuff.
Bandcamp (24/44)
Great trio album...

Kind of strange album. It actually feels like two different albums. The concept season orientation is clear. However it's two different worlds in reality.
The four seasons is in my eyes as such a good version. Definitely one I will return to every now and then. The other pieces are having a more sentimental carachter. Not bad but for me in a different universe....
just stumbled on this -- its a for old times sake album -- sounds better than i remember!
enjoy

Having played 'Waltz for Debbie' earlier, well i had to follow it with this one.
Todays listening at the office.
Classic (for me) PG
Peter Gabriel - So
Borodin's piano quintet in a characterful performance by the Goldner and Piers Lane. On their last disc, even this team couldn't inject much life into Bruch's chamber works, but Borodin's works are of a different order and this is one of their best yet. In hires.
cheers, EJ
