Glad to see you're feeling better, Kev. Great album.
CD:-
Kate Bush - Before The Dawn, OK liked the well known (to us), other stuff was a bit meh!
Paul Simon - Stranger to Stranger, a much more even album.
Eleanor Friedberger - "New View" (2016)

Z Z Top - Tres Hombres.
Brightening up a gloomy North Yorks. afternoon with the boogie boys.
1970 - Tidal Masters (mono)...

They don't come any better....
More Grundman/Classic magic. Heavy (200g) vinyl, heavy music. Unconfined ambition, jaw-dropping skill, awesome interplay, the era's best rhythm section, PG is the acme of Zep's imperal phase. Runs the gamut from treacly scuzz-rock through to pop jokes via Eastern influences, electronica, folk, funk, super-heavy blues, Faces-style boogie and country.
At this point. nothing seemed beyond them but sadly, the only way was down, thanks to a mixture of terrible luck, poor judgement, drink, drugs, hubris, creative and physical exhaustion and the world moving on.
Cass McCombs - "Mangy Love" (2016)

That's the other side of rock'n'roll, sadly indeed. But still all LZ material beats most of the others…

Yep. A lad from Paulsgrove I believe. We went to the same high school where he sometimes played piano at morning assembly.
He earned my eternal gratitude when, at a concert in the 80s (under Thatcher)*, he stopped during the start of the first song to tell the audience to stop clapping (out of time) as they were here to listen to his music, not the other way around.

First play on CD
Marc Bolan T. Rex - Greatest Hits
Boogie on!

How you rate this in Dream Theater back catalogue? I don't have this yet and I have read some not so favorable reviews.
Mraz & Viklicky - Together Again.
This is a great album , a really full warm sound, hard to believe that it's only piano and bass at times. Some of the piano playing is quite reminiscent of Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert. Thanks again to Haim for pointing it out. (It's on Tidal)
Talking Heads - Stop making Sense.
Boogie of a different nature .............. still among the best ever live albums ............ and the Blu-Ray ain't half bad either.

To enjoy more of similar genre defining material you'll have to play 'Truth' and 'Beck-Ola' by the Jeff Beck group. Who got there first, I wonder? Beck or Page? Or was it Cream? I'm not old enough to know, but it must have been a great period at the end of the 60s.

The film should be seen in the big screen. Quite jaw dropping stuff …

Kevin wet my appetite for this earlier today, thanks! I'm playing the latest remastered version from a 24/96 download. I can still vividly remember the day when I first heard this when it was released, it was transformational to my musical preferences.
U2, Boy, from when they were exciting and brilliant and before Bono disappeared up his own backside. Awesome album, Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
