Whilst my wife is out doing the 'Couch Potato to 5k' (or 'Potato to 5k' as I call it) and the sun is streaming into the livingroom. Something about 'Potato & Sun' must have made the connection...

The xx - I See You on vinyl. Lovely warm album.
2017 - Tidal...
Their hugely influential first album, from 1979, on first CD issue (1991). Playing on the study system as the main one's out of action . I saw them (or rather, This Is Not This Heat) at the Barbican and they were superb:

Their second (and final) studio album, released in 1991 on vinyl, and here on a 1991 CD:

now playing:
Robert Cray - "Bad Influence" (1983)
The first album I ever heard played on a 'proper' hi-fi (thx dp). If my system is on song then I should get transported right back to that goosebump moment.
It is.

Nice to see you back on the forum Jeff as I noticed you hadn't posted in awhile. Will have to investigate Lloyd Jones as he isn't a name I'm familiar with.
on CD. Symphonic rock at its' very best. Nightwish peaked with this one.
YYNOT, Kingdom Come. Discovered these on Bandcamp, they are a Rush tribute band but this is an original composition that whilst clearly influenced by Rush is all their own, Really good track and well worth checking out.
LP - Membran Music Ltd 2012 : )
Larry Coryell - acoustic guitars
Ron Majumdar - bansquri flute
Abhijjit Banerjee - tabla, cajon
Keyvan Chemirani - zarb, daf, udu
Sina Vodjani - bass, synth, shaker, singing bowls
Recorded 2001, produced by Sina Vodjani
Excellent for rainy Sunday afternoon whispers too!
Typing those band names out plays havoc with the auto spill chucker: Kevin Chemical playing a carb daft anyone? : )
Debs
Mary Chapin Carpenter - The things that we are made of. Tidal.
A lovely album that seems to get better every time I listen to it.

Hi Ewen, have spent a few days in the hospital with pneumonia and a rather ridiculous antibiotic of which I have had about 8 side effects. Finally off that Friday and on a slow road to recovery. Thank you for the interest and hope you and the good lady are fine. best regards, Jeff A (and Heidi)
