2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

I tend not to post on this thread because inevitably I'm sat here on the settee with my iPad & I've never figured out how to post album cover photos with it. So, currently listening to - River City People, Say Something Good. Superlative pop from one of the most sadly neglected  bands on the Planet. Followed by Kind Of Blue on mono vinyl rip, Procol Harum Live At The Union Chapel (ripped from the BluRay) , then The Rolling Stones Live At The Max, another BluRay rip. All played at insanely loud volumes.

The cover art is easy. Just get an account with Photobucket or one of the similar services. Make a screenshot, upload and paste the link into the Naim post...

Tony,

My MacBook was off for repair, so I had to revert to the iPad instead, and you're right, it's a pain.

The most straightforward way I found to post covers was to open a second Safari window on the iPad, open Amazon.co.uk, search and find the album you're after, then hold on it, whence a window will open, offering you the option to copy the cover.

Normally, on the MacBook, this means that you are simply copying the image, but on the iPad, it results in the location url being copied too.

Then simply use the "insert image" button on the forum reply box, and, hey presto, it works.

Hope this helps.

Billy Vera & The Beaters  -  "Here Comes The Dawn Again"  (1981"  I guess this would be rhythm and blues. I like the vocals and the backing bands in his works, reminds me of someone like Joe Jackson at times.  Hope somebody enjoys.

One of the great Chicago Blues scene guitarists who played with all the great.

A + | WAV ripped CD

(1972)

Because it is a rather soggy, misty start to the day and I fancied something old and familiar.

The Fog Of War live video originally posted by Jeff Anderson (from the album By The Time Your Rocket Gets To Mars), that I circle back to because it's a great song but also because it has one of my all-time favourite guitar solos in it. Not just technically superb (it's no fretwank) it's an example of a man letting his spirit flow through his guitar strings.

For those new to it, trust me (and Jeff) that it won't be 20 minutes of your life wasted

Just finished listening to and watching this one, absolutely tremendous. Thanks for the recommendation Gary and Jeff. It looks as though its going to be hard to acquire on CD so this might be a rare MP3 (only) purchase

Additionally, his guitarist, Jeff Crosby is now touring on his own and his solo albums are amazing in their own right. Check him out ! https://open.spotify.com/artis...708zcisEeFNzcCUTHEgh

Now listening to the Bad Plus. Probably not the most accessible jazz music, but for some reason I like it.

Lamagaius by Lamagaia

Getting into some rather excellent Scandi psyche, kosmiche krautrock and the new very promising sounding track from Moon Duo's next album. Those who are into Moon Duo, Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation, Wooden Shjips, Bonfire Nights and the like will really like what Lamagaia do. Thanks for the recommendation Gary Shaw.

You can try Lamagaia here

More, excellent Swedish, psychedelic krautrock that just has to be played after listening to them earlier.

My poor description does not do them or this album so if you are into this particular genre do have a listenhere

I don't dislike the album, but i liked the original Ed more, sounds should also be a bit less compressed
