If you're liking this one Paul, give their last album to date a go, Walking On A Flashlight Beam, then perhaps Lunatic Soul II.

Vic Chesnutt - West of Rome.  Tidal.

Came across this via a Tidal recommendation while playing Lambchop "Flotus".  Stripped back Americana, Dylan-ish voice.

Son of James McMurtry.

Are they similar in style Ewen?

Nope, I would certainly give this a listen before buying as unless it is going to take repeated plays it ain't a good album

Thanks Ewen I'll give it a miss for now...

Have to cuncur here - definitely not "like father like son".

An appropriate album on this gorgeous spring day (unfortunately observed via my office window). This is an album I have had in one medium or another since its first release and it's still a great listen and sure sign of the direction the band were going in. Probably to be followed by the equally brilliant Spirit Of Eden

Talk Talk - The Colour Of Spring
