Playing this as it was mentioned in dispatches this morning and because I've just heard that they have a new album coming out in Autumn this year which is good news.
Commenting on his fourth opus in 2014, Duda said: “These are very dark and intense compositions but very melodious too. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written, if not the best one”.
"It's often like the best film music... distinctly dramatic, verging on gothic from the opening eerie noises... honours the Pink Floyd branches of the Porcupine Tree" - Prog Magazine (UK)
"In nine pieces he creates a soundscape that has no equal. With this album he recommends himself for a collaboration with Steven Wilson. A collaboration at eyelevel." 9/10 - Eclipsed, Album of the Month (DE)
"Impressive as all the Lunatic Soul albums have been, this is almost certainly Duda’s most impressive offering to date." - Echoes and Dust (UK)
Stone Foundation Ft Paul Weller - Your Balloon is Rising (on Tidal) Originally only 500 copies of this 7" vinyl were released but another 300 copies have been pressed and are due for release on 17/3 I have just pre ordered one from Rough Trade. A beautiful ballad that showcase Wellers soulful voice perfectly.
Iggy Pop - Lust For Life
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth.
Hadn't played this in ages ............ sounds better than I remember.

Yes, it took me a few spins to get into it. Not as immediate as Downward Spiral.

Excellent space rock very much in the mould of Hawkwind and executed really well, good stuff indeed.
The Cure
Just Like Heaven....
A great unplugged version as well.

1976 - remaster of the 1956/61 original recordings on US double (Mono) vinyl pressings...
Level 42
Debut album on CD
Rammstein- Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da
Hmm. Seem to be embarking on a noisy evening, first up was Black Sabbath (Paranoid) and to accompany England clatter the West Indies at cricket, Rammstein seemed the only logical follow-up. One minor change: the volume got upped...
Ein Weg, Ein Ziel, Ein Motiv... Ramm...stein!
P.S. Be very, very careful how you Google Pussy. NSFW.

Son of James McMurtry.
Are they similar in style Ewen?
Nope, I would certainly give this a listen before buying as unless it is going to take repeated plays it ain't a good album
Thanks Ewen I'll give it a miss for now...
Have to cuncur here - definitely not "like father like son".
Might think about starting an Americana week.
This is playing rather loudly on the Qb in the kitchen - the B sides and oddments from the time of the Gift album proper. Marvellous.
Last one for tonight.
The Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street
On CD
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - Feed The Rats
Utterly basic doom metal - Ozzy would be proud!
