Dub Syndicate - Special King Size Dub.

Busy day over, so chillin' to some dub grooves.

March 16th, 1990 - Landover, Maryland - 27 years ago today.  First "Black-Throated Wind" since '74!  Terrific box set mastered from the mulit-track digital tapes

Wonderful album.  Slightly different from the other St. Germain records a blend of house, jazz and African rhythms with great vocal choices

Also a brilliant sounding CD £3.96 on Amazon.

Dub Colossus - In A Town called Addis.

Ethiopia > Haile Selassie > Rastafari > Jamaica > Reggae > Dub.

Staying with the dub groove for now, this one shows the AfroDub connection.

Aftermath of an intense day at the coal face...Love the way the piano intro to 'Flight 505' appears to come from the right beyond the right hand speaker!

It could have been one of several. I have purchased many Blue Note releases on vinyl and CD (esp the RVG remasters) from the late '50s to the mid '60s and found them all to be very enjoyable and consistently excellent in SQ. Were there any duffers? I doubt it.
