I've just been jumping through a few Jethro Tull albums on the NDS and haven't been able to get into any of them! This is weird in the extreme.

Not the easiest Tull album to get into, but one of my faves. Probably best not try  "A Passion Play", next?

I don't have 'A Passion Play', which from your comment might be for the best. Yesterday I tried 'Songs From The Wood' and couldn't get on with that either and I really used to enjoy that one. I guess I've just grown out of Tull. I may, however, try 'Too Old to R&R' at the weekend. Fingers crossed!

Clive, JT's best phase imho is their early years and first three album which are more bluesy and less folkish. Try This Was, Benefit, Stand Up and I think you'll realise what I mean.

I agree with, Tony, and would add Aqualung to your 'try list' too.

The Black Keys - Brothers.                                                               The Black Keys - El Camino.

I just fancied some lo-fi, raw, gritty rock, and these fit the bill perfectly ................... LOUD!

Ha yes - got a couple of plays last night and again tonight. Given that she just gets better with each album i'm looking forward to the next release (whenever that may be)

When I use the phrase it isn't a boot but an official soundboard recording of the gig made by the band , tv company or radio station.

Got it. I was expecting some sort of "physical" release. Cheers.

Clive, I don't know how much you know of the Ozrics so a couple of suggestions for you. Get this  2 CD collection which is a good selection of tracks from Strangetude  1991 to Paper Monkeys 2011, this is a good starter for any would be Ozrics fan. Currently available used for £3.91 (from the usual place).

If you find you enjoy Introducing The Ozrics then you could do worse than getting their studio albums chronologically from about 1989 Pungent Effulgent onwards to today. Here is a link to Discogs to show you their releases, I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do...
